Ministries at Warrenton Baptist Church

Children & Youth

We value children and youth in all aspects of church life at Warrenton Baptist Church. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” We have recently launched a new ministry to children and younger youth. We are working to make children and youth an active part of our church through participation in worship, camps and retreats, and weekly activities.

Prayer

Prayer is a special way to commune with God, and it is foundational to Warrenton Baptist Church.  It is expressed both privately and corporately as God’s people gather for worship.  Just inside the front entrance of our church, you will find a room set apart for prayer.  Also, just across Bragg Street, our church maintains a meditation garden for the purpose of prayer. Both spaces are available for individuals or groups who wish to spend time with God.

Bible Study

The Bible is a great gift from God, and we seek to allow it to guide and shape our lives.  Within its pages, we find encouragement, direction, inspiration, authority, and God’s grace as lived in the life of Jesus Christ.   We study God’s word to seek God’s revelation and to hear God speak to our lives.  We believe God still speaks today, and it is in and through scripture that we learn to recognize God’s voice. We offer opportunities for weekly Bible study during Sunday school, during our Wednesday morning lectionary discussion group, and on Wednesday evenings during the spring and fall.
